jeff & the boys

would be pleased with the role that Wilco has been playing in my life lately.

first of all, i've seen them live twice, once supporting Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and the other for A Ghost is Born.

the shows were fine and professional, noisy when appropriate, all-around solid.

but i don't listen to their studio work much anymore. i've even only internalized Summerteeth,YHF, plus one of the Mermaid Avenue joints (my favorite, btw).

thus, i've no cds with me in memphis this time around, so my only means is this here computer. well, in its itunes library, the only track attributed to "wilco" reads:

name: all tracks
time: 57:53
artist: wilco
album: YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT
genre: indie
rating: 4 stars

and that's what's up. anyway, so YEAH, i think it's safe to assume that these guys revere "the album" as a single musical statement and all'a that, PLUS, YHF is probably the album of which they are most proud.

so props babies, keep doin' ya thang (and thnks for playing in memphis)

:)
